TIL: Broadband definition per FCC is 100/20 Mbps (2024-03-15)

As it turns out - FCC increased the bar for the definition of “broadband Internet”

Today, the FCC has changed its definition of “broadband” to mean download speeds of 100 megabits per second and upload speeds of 20 megabits per second.

And then here’s the internet we have around here:

  • latency is what we truly care about, and 7ms is satisfactory
