Reading News, RSS, NewsBlur (2025-01-24)

We, here at the Pluralist Network, are huge fans of NewsBlur.

NewsBlur is an RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed reader that allows users to subscribe to and organize content from various websites. It enables users to follow blogs, news sites, and other types of content by collecting their updates in one place. NewsBlur offers features like custom categorization, filtering, and the ability to train it to highlight specific content based on your preferences. It supports both web and mobile platforms, offering a clean and user-friendly interface for managing RSS feeds.

It costs $36 a year, aggregates your favorite RSS feeds, and is a way to avoid doom scrolling. It has wonderful keyboard shortcuts, which help you eventually reach the end of the news feed.

Another great site, which we often read through NewsBlur is HackerNews of course.
