Aseprite is a lot of fun. (Esp. when laying on the couch w/ some low fever.) My daughters are learning from “[Make Your Own Pixel Art](https://nostarch.com/pixelart)” by [Jennifer Dawe](https://www.google.com/search?newwindow=1&client=firefox-b-1-e&sca_esv=da1597cd81ffa23f&cs=0&biw=1440&bih=759&sxsrf=ACQVn0-yGmnxV931JHa6nu_N-7vRfDZKLg:1707620574097&q=Jennifer+Dawe&si=AKbGX_rO4P19IF_yO85wYpkEaz-W_oZWd5JUOOVnUVftf2aeoRx23z01GVaQ8pwdZq_ugLmtdEJCSh1Gh2VhOoCOnR15jBhhFeUqc9DVVIcZmhN87ORGDGhgyjK34y1cv7S7sS1OeQvEFFUJHQqLpgpD4dRaCB0QDgnUNPjGdf9ThFaCHUXiktdRu13j7MzILwbf0T-TTInx-xn9PC2T6Hb_zEAphzeGoeLZmq2TmQaYL9g_8EnFQp3JXEgNDb2nWY4rGOud7X83-OxCQBYPPqbXsZCmbCGrKA%3D%3D&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjpruutpqKEAxWqweYEHTDhD64QmxMoAHoECCEQAg), [Matthew Humphries](https://www.google.com/search?newwindow=1&client=firefox-b-1-e&sca_esv=da1597cd81ffa23f&cs=0&biw=1440&bih=759&sxsrf=ACQVn0-yGmnxV931JHa6nu_N-7vRfDZKLg:1707620574097&q=Matthew+Humphries&si=AKbGX_rO4P19IF_yO85wYpkEaz-W_oZWd5JUOOVnUVftf2aeoZTIB6eF75AvM2C6XINppfBg_t2EONbcrqV7HYbL3FXP3S2pzcCJR4pZdwnV-j2nXu0dKGPWEQ2Ws-Xl4YXHlPKB866twMJxeB13H59_q7a671H8gV9zYof0OHwGcmIcks3u1ivHqpi8gflWpr4x6KGD2paKrCWOP_u1WQHP40ADtIRRX4d7KW3u7omlpM9L27XZb3UTy7qOc0Axd2baqjFCA_OBMSLGBrVtqxs6yK5343VWJA%3D%3D&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjpruutpqKEAxWqweYEHTDhD64QmxMoAXoECCEQAw).

I on the other hand am perfectly happy with the [Aseprite Quick Reference / Cheat Sheet](https://www.aseprite.org/quickref/).

Here are a few fun experiments (trying to create a fun logo for this web page):

# trying to make it look like an amber monochrome CRT

Using orange and turning antialiasing off.

Still does not look like a CRT from the early 90s though. (ChatGPT 4 generated below)

# Let’s try a black background

# transparent background seems best

“we write about… everything” is reminiscent of early 2000’s Detroit radio station _WDRQ_ (93.1 Doug FM) - “_We Play Everything_”

# Stuffing more text

Added “Delyan Raychev’s daily notes” - did not yield good result. Will add this in the description of this Discourse site instead.

# Let’s make this more fun

I like this tiny rancher person. Green shirt and brown pants. Good enough.
