The pen is gorgeous and distracting. [Linus Lee posted](https://x.com/thesephist/status/2064377146307649921) “A romance with the material”

This was a reflection on [Alan Kay’s 1984 Computer Software](https://worrydream.com/refs/Kay_1984_-_Computer_Software.pdf) - printed out, underlined, and photographed with a **pen**!

The rabbit hole is the stack: software as paper, paper as interface, pen as cursor.

The pen appears to be a [Leuchtturm1917 Drehgriffel Nr. 1 ballpoint](https://www.dickblick.com/products/leuchtturm1917-drehgriffel-nr-1-ballpoint-pens/).
